The Giardia lamblia Rapid Test Cassette (Feces) is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay for the qualitative detection of Giardia lamblia antigen in animal feces.

It is a sandwich-format lateral flow immunoassay with a test window. During testing, the sample is applied to the sample well of the cassette. If present, Giardia antigens react with anti-Giardia antibody-coated colloidal gold particles in the test strip. The complex migrates along the membrane by capillary action and binds to immobilized anti-Giardia antibodies in the test line region. A colored line indicates a positive result. In the absence of antigen, no test line appears, indicating a negative result. A procedural control line will always appear, confirming proper sample volume and membrane flow.

Store as packaged in the sealed pouch at room temperature or refrigerated (2–30 °C). The test is stable until the expiration date printed on the pouch. Keep the cassette in the sealed pouch until use. Do not freeze. Do not use after the expiration date.
